My muse....Reece's Rainbow..

Today marks the beginning...not the end of AT for me.  I feel that because of my Aunt (Dani), my baby cousin EV, RR, the Warriors (My beautiful new friends!)..I have grown inside in the last 4mos. My outlook on life has changed, my purpose has changed... I may never be in a position to adopt but I have been taught a valuable lesson in devotion and perseverance.  I am 29yrs old, and what I haven't learned in that lifetime, I've learned because of everyone here.  This is more than just being a mommy, a workaholic, a spouse. You all have taught me something deeper than that and I am ever so grateful. I have grown to love in that way we all do, not only all of you, but the babies/children we advocate for. I am so happy and overjoyed for all the MFFM additions, and cannot wait to follow their stories. There are so many ladies to Thank & not enough room to post so let me Thank ALL of YOU for giving me this life's lesson! <3 Sorry I kno this is a bit mushy, but am sentimental today & wanted to share before I lost my nerve lol.

Homemade Knotted Blankets!

So for Xmas this year I've decided to make Homemade Knotted Fleece Blankets to sale for $30 with 30% proceeds of each one going towards Ollie, Daniel, and Abigail - I'm so excited!!!!

My Goal this year is to try my BEST to Raise $1000.00 towards my Christmas Warrior Child's Grant. 

 

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW*.. Any donation of $35.00 or more made on or before the Nov 1st launch date, are not eligible for a ORNAMENT. 

Donations also made before Nov 1st do not count towards the $1000.00 Goal. 

Donations eligible are those made on or after Nov 1st. 

Ornaments are available for donations of $35.00 or more. $5.00 goes towards the cost of the ornament, and the remainder of the donation will go directly to the CHILD'S GRANT Fund. (additional Voice Of Hope Funds are not taken from these Angel Tree Donations) 

Championing for Ollie!

So.. I know that its only a month and a few days away... and I know the donations don't count toward the christmas program until around November 1st..BUT... I wanted to share Ollie with you all TODAY!!! He is SO PRECIOUS!!

Anyone that knows me, knows I just had a baby in Feb 2011 and OH MY GOSH! I couldn't take my eyes off this little guy! (nor the hundreds of other pictures on the site!)

My first visit to Reece's Rainbow

My Aunt has told me so much about Reece's Rainbow...but until yesterday I hadn't really had a chance to take my own peek and actually spend the time I would have liked to.

Let me tell you, my heart broke in so many pieces and all I could do was feel the crocodile tears well up as I saw picture after picture of beautiful children - and having the knowledge of what happens to those innocent little souls.

The cruelty of mortals knows no bounds.....

Faith and Chance, however........my Aunt explained to me how Christmas Warriors aid the children thru fundraising and the hope that someone soon might commit to bringing them home!

Yesterday, I chose 3 little girls one of which I had hoped to be a champion for, alas their medical records hadn't come back yet so... off to the boys I went to choose again... and oh my GOSH!!! THEY ARE SO CUTE(So are the girls btw)!!! ALL OF THEM!! I want to take and hold and keep every child for my own (you will too I betcha!) - how do you decide to champion a child when you wish you could champion them all?

Again I picked three, and Miss Laurie came back and told me... "Congratulations!" I am officially Ollie's Christmas Warrior!!!

I can't believe it, I'm so excited!! (and by the way...did you know single mom's can adopt too??? WOW!!!!)
